At Jondaryan State School we value each student as an individual learner with individual needs and learning styles. The school offers the full range of curricula, including computer, iPad, robotics technologies, which are a part of everyday life, and therefore are widely used within our school to enhance learning outcomes in all aspects of our school curriculum.
The school boasts a good computer to student ratio and also has smart boards installed in each classroom. Each classroom has a set of iPads loaded with educational programs. Robotics and coding is taught with the use of uses Bee Bots in the lower school, with the upper school utilizing Dash and Dot robots. All students receive regular access to these facilities.
Our language-other-than-English (LOTE) is German and is taught in upper years. Internal monitoring of children’s performance includes diagnostic tests and criteria based assessments.
As a parent, you are your child’s first teacher and play a major role in your child’s educational development. Your attitude towards learning, school and your child’s teacher is of the utmost importance. We invite you to take an active interest in our school and your child’s learning journey by attending and becoming involved in our P & C Association, tuckshop duties, parade, classroom activities, working bees, and our parent information sessions.
